Start the low-speed stirring (50-80 rpm) and activate the jacketed heating system, raising the temperature at a rate of 5°C/min to avoid raw material carbonization.
Reaction & Homogenization Control
When the temperature reaches the set value (typically 120-160°C for HMPSA), adjust the stirring speed to 120-180 rpm for full homogenization. Monitor the viscosity and reaction state in real time via the sight glass; maintain the temperature stably for 30-60 minutes. For elastic adhesive production, extend the mixing time to ensure uniform dispersion of elastic components.
Cooling & Discharging
After the reaction is complete, switch to the jacketed cooling system and lower the temperature to 80-100°C at a controlled rate. Reduce stirring speed to 30-50 rpm to prevent bubble generation. Open the discharge valve and transfer the finished HMPSA pillow glue to the storage tank or packaging equipment for subsequent processing.
Post-Production Cleaning & Maintenance
Rinse the reactor inner wall with hot solvent (matching HMPSA type) while stirring at low speed to remove residual glue. Wipe dry with a clean cloth and inspect key parts: lubricate the stirring shaft bearing, check the seal ring for wear, and record the operation parameters and maintenance status for future reference.
